Type B FIBCs have no protective properties against the build-up of static electricity. However, the fabric has a low breakdown voltage (< 6 kV) to prevent the occurrence of highly energetic, and dangerous propagating brush discharges (PBD). This type of FIBC can be used for dry, combustible materials, but there must not be any flammable gasses in the area.
Used for the transportation of dry and flammable powders
There should be no flammable or explosive solvent or gas in the environment
Can be used in the presence of combustible dusts with MIE of greater than 3mj
Made from materials that have a low breakdown voltage
Prevents propagating brush discharges (PBD)
